The Brazilian Punk Rock Band Armada reached me to create a custom typeface for their second album Tales of Treason, launched in May 10th 2024. The ambiguous Portuguese word ‘Armada’ means group of boats and also a person with armory. The typeface was mainly inspired by letterings from old maps and also have boat details like the serif forms and anchor icon.
Armada is Henrike Baliú (vocals), Mauro Tracco (bass), Alexandre Galindo (guitar) and Arnaldo Rogano (drums). I invite you to listen to this true punk rock band.
